Pros

I worked in the user experience department-- generally speaking, I found them to be a very smart, fun and collaborative group of people. The benefits are on par with most medium to large corporations. I also had two outstanding managers and I worked on some interesting projects.

Cons

Senior Management is completely out of touch with the employee experience at USB. They are so stingy when it comes to providing proper equipment and giving raises, even in times when they show record profits. Most of the corporate departments are typically given a 3% raise and then managers have to distribute that 3% among all employees-- this penalizes top achievers and often they either leave or become embittered (I choose to leave). During my couple of years with the bank, I talked to a lot of employees who work in the branches-- they have it even worse than the corporate employees. Outdated equipment, poor management and inefficient processes are the order of the day.
