Pros

Work Life Balance. Environemtn is somewhat laid back. Not a lot of work. Hours are pretty easy, eight to five. US Bank is very conservative so they are not experiencing problems like the other banks in the industry now

Cons

limited opportunity for advancement. Salary is lower than competitors

Pros

Name recognition, lots of branch locations, good products. Some management is good, some is completely incompetent. It's all about who you work for. The organization is ran well from the top, it is in good shape even in this rough economy. We were not involved in the mortgage debacle.

Cons

Some management is incompetent. I had a great manager and then was promoted and had a lousy manager, how he got his job, I have no idea. Sales goals were nearly unachievable, and not in line with what the company was trying to achieve. Lending decisions often did not make sense. You have no authority to override even for a long time existing customer.
