Pros

Very strong financial institution that made it thru the sub-prime scares with out many problems. Good reputation and excellent upper management. Great training and strong core business model.

Cons

Company lacks in good technology and often lags the competition in innovation. Often zero or limited advertising to help support the retail sales environment. Many facilities are older and require remodeling.

Pros

They are starting to focus on employee welfare. Well known bank (Top 6 in the nation) Stability (no lay offs due to subprime) A lot of loyal employees...history with the bank. People, very nice nice and caring. Increase earnings

Cons

If you are moving up within, the salary or pay is not competitive with the market rate. Internal Politics - but you get them everywhere you work Very stingy - the company is very conservative compared to other banks in the industry.

Pros

It is important for every one to understand the banking industry. I am proud to work for an organization where the CEO has earned his position while being promoted within. The company fosters the idea of career advancement. I believe this is a company who truly has the shareholders interests at heart as they uphold the "5 star service guarantee". Richard Davis answers an employee's question each week which can be found on our intranet and I find it to really bring him closer to each and every employee (I am impressed with him as a CEO in many regards)

Cons

Though the company as a whole fosters growth within, there is opportunity with developing talent to prepare them for the next level. Too often I see an internal candidate over looked as they were not properly prepared by their managers for their career objectives. Management has a difficult time identifying their next level talent as well.
