Pros

Union pay and benefits. Good work life balance and time off. Great management and coworkers, very team friendly environment.

Cons

Other union shops in town likely pay higher overscale. There is overscale potential here, but not the highest. However for the great work environment, training opportunities, great management, etc. I think it is worth the trade off.

But I think it is low for the construction industry in general.
