Pros

CSS is a great place to work. Lot of pros, but the big ones are: --Good, experienced management team --Good benefits package (health, 401K, etc.) --Good work/life balance --Important public mission in housing finance --Company did well through the pandemic and succeeding --Good opportunity to work at a smaller company with more opportunity for mentoring, growth, and exposure to management.

Cons

No big cons. Back in the early days of the Company, the office space was tighter. Not an issue anymore with the pandemic moving everyone to 100% remote. And the Company plans to move to a hybrid remote/in office for collaboration model so office space won't be an issue going forward.

Pros

After being at CSS for several years, I can truly attest to the diverse culture the company promotes and the inclusiveness it fosters. CSS has allowed me to grow and learn different roles in different divisions, enhancing my skills as a professional. The work-life balance and flexibility of remote work have been a miracle for me in these challenging times. Truly grateful for the support CSS gives to its employees.

Cons

Like everything, there are always some improvements that could be made and CSS is not exempt. One of the areas of improvement CSS could focus on is a clear career trajectory for employees. I believe CSS is currently making adjustments to its organizational structure, so those improvements to define career ladders for promotions are key.

Pros

- Handful $$ more - Let me think …. None

Cons

- Uncertainty looms every day - 75% of the company has either quit or been fired in last 2 years - Top Heavy leadership with no clue - Even if you’re a top performer, you could be fired any minute in the name of business - Bunch of amateurs running the show with naive CEO

Thanks for your post and your thoughts about working at CSS. Our leadership team and I talk with employees every day about both the successes and challenges we have as an organization. We are not perfect but we work hard every day to improve our organization. I am the biggest cheerleader at CSS and I love to rally and highlight all of the great CSS team accomplishments on social media and other communication forums. One thing everyone I talk with has in common is a commitment to making CSS better. With positive intent, I hope that as a teammate who has been here for 5 years, you are committed to doing the same and I ask you to please contact me directly or through other confidential communication channels to discuss your concerns and to help us find ways to improve as a team. Thanks again, Tony Renzi CEO, CSS
