Pros

Relaxed dress code when in the office.

Cons

Management won’t keep you long as they’re always looking for the next person who can do the job for less money. They say they want the most qualified candidates with the most experience, but they really just want to save a dollar. My VP even had a direct report of mine below the pay range/scale MINIMUM for her position until I brought it to her attention. You had to beg for increases for yourself and your direct reports.

Pros

For the most part, it’s a laid back environment.

Cons

U.S Xpress would rather hire someone outside of the company than promote within. The pay is also really low for what is expected of you. The work load isn’t distributed properly between your coworkers and yourself. One person will work really hard while others slack. Management doesn’t do anything about it.
