      Huge divide between clinical and administrative workers, the latter in which I belonged - little comeraderie

      Pros

      Decent pay for easy administrative work, great benefits including a pension/retirement plan vested at 5 years, professional atmosphere, nice facility

      Cons

      Unfriendly atmosphere for the most part, stern faces walking the hallways at most all times, elitist demeanor by much of staff, many have a serious job but come on....lighten up a little, you already have your credentials and the position. Upper management is downright scary, fake smiles all the while. No genuine effort put into treating differing department personnel with kindness, individual work units however are a different matter.

      Pros

      Great benefits, great benefits, I keep telling myself great benefits...but then you look elsewhere in Los Angeles County and they are no better than the LA Community College District. So that is kind of disheartening.

      Cons

      Immense size. Cavernous old hospital building. A lot of employees with that good ole union mindset that makes the workplace kind of suck.

      Pros

      Low stress. Easy hours. Come and go as you please. Put in minimum effort to stay employed and receive the standard review.

      Cons

      No opportunity for advancement. Zero pay increases. No job recognition. Do your time, get out when you can. Or else you will be stuck.
