Pros

Decent pay for easy administrative work, great benefits including a pension/retirement plan vested at 5 years, professional atmosphere, nice facility

Cons

Unfriendly atmosphere for the most part, stern faces walking the hallways at most all times, elitist demeanor by much of staff, many have a serious job but come on....lighten up a little, you already have your credentials and the position. Upper management is downright scary, fake smiles all the while. No genuine effort put into treating differing department personnel with kindness, individual work units however are a different matter.

Pros

I made a few work friends. I found a new job ASAP!!

Cons

Terrible work life balance and made guilty to ask to have balance. Manager David M. terrible communication skills, awful attitude towards his employees. When questions were asked of him he couldn’t be bothered, because you should just KNOW the answers as a brand new employee. Paid more in parking, commute, healthcare, taxes than I made (close!!) Very poor moral. First day on job other employees told me I was going to hate it there. Not a cup, a coffee, a water cooler, a spoon in the break room. This is an extremely profitable organization bilking celebrities for millions and they can’t provide even coffee for employees. Filthiest laptop I have ever laid eyes on! I was issued a laptop my first week and when I opened it I almost vomited. It was clearly used as someone’s lunch lap for decades as it was that disgusting. The IT guy who gave it to me couldn’t understand the problem. Not a bit of onboarding. No UCLA training nothing. Actually I was told to train the trainer on workflows of UCLA right after I started. David the manager got angry when I asked where these workflows might be since I also needed the training. No leeway to wfh even though we were all IT.

Pros

Good benefits, relaxed environment and good colleagues. Good job stability if you like doing the same thing over and over for years.

Cons

Lack of management investment in employees or cross-training. Management doesn't seem to care about valuing employee input and wants to keep you from moving upwards to senior or even lateral positions in other departments.
