Pros

Benefits and some coworkers - and that Mission Center is by some relatively decent restaurants/bars.

Cons

This specifically targets Enterprise Information Management and Architecture at UCSF (the IT group that creates dashboards), and specifically, management! Horrible. Since 2016, a single manager from any these teams (Enterprise Analytics, Business Intelligence, etc - and the director) have proven that they are absolutely incompetent in managing people and projects. The architecture and technology they use is antiquated, there is a high turnover rate, and the managers ONLY care about themselves and the bottom line. There is FRUSTRATION among the ranks of the EIA staff. Nobody likes their managers who need to take some kind of course in...well, management. None of these people have been managers in the past, and their lack of expertise shows. DO NOT WORK FOR THIS DEPARTMENT

Pros

Top notch leadership and educational opportunities. Excellent benefits and best managers who really listen and care about you. Even though a big place does not feel that way and I am valued as an employee. I was a traveler for years and worked at Stanford. This is the best ever and the difference in how they value and listen to their employees is superior. Strong emphasis in quality of care and providing excellence. Leadership provides support and listens. Best in Bay Area by far.

Cons

Commute can be challenging for some, however if open to using cal train a breeze. Everything is far better then everywhere else. Of course I would like a wage increase but who wouldn't!!!!
