      Easy Claims but Limited Flexibility

      Pros

      Competitive pay, only a handful of states to be handled with no licensing requirements, very independent claims handling.

      Cons

      Salary but treated as hourly, strong institutional aversion to expanding wfh past 1 day per week.

      Pros

      The people at UFG are awesome and I attribute that to a management team that knows how important people are. I enjoy working for a company who does the right thing and supports their agents in everything they do! I enjoy the flexibility of being a remote employee who is still treated like a valuable employee!

      Cons

      I am sorry to say that I can not think of any cons. When I do, I will come update my review. I guess you could say that the home office location of Cedar Rapids IA isnt the sexiest place ever but I have really enjoyed the area!

      Pros

      My work history was long, but varied - agencies, companies, hither and yon. I've been here 16 years, because of their attention to their employees, and empathy when tragedy strikes. Hurricanes are handled well, as are floods - they strived to get us back to work as quickly as possible, as well as aiding us in our personal recovery. I can't thank them enough for the personal support! The longest I had worked anywhere prior was 3 years...

      Cons

      Sometimes, the big picture will overshadow the individual picture...
