      Pros

      There are some good departments to work for, there are others that will try to ruin your life. The staff level employees are the best thing about UNC there are some great people that really care.

      Cons

      Stay away from compliance, audit and physician billing. The moral is horrible and the "leadership" is even worse. There is a problem when the "audit and compliance " leadership is morally corrupt and inept.

      Great benefits, job security, and room to grow. Great people, employees are taken care of by the state and receive their retirement through the state.

      Cons

      It really depends on what branch you're under, regarding departments, as how your experience could be. Many places would pay more for the same positions, but don't offer the same health benefits.
