Pros

Plenty of overtime work available, great coworkers (with the exception of upper management), honestly can’t remember many positive experiences working here

Cons

No support from management, low workplace morale, short staffed every shift, mandatory overtime if you work an on-call job, make you pay for parking, low paychecks, supervisors micro-manage you and write you up to HR for minute errors, management prioritize business practices over staff and patient experience, unfair pay for minorities in the workplace

Toxic Workplace Environment

Pros

My coworkers were great. We stuck together while trying to get out of the negative, toxic environment.

Cons

I have worked in a wide range of industries and organizations and this was by far my worst job experience. My manager was an extreme micromanager and actively tried to get me and some of my coworkers terminated. My workload was physically impossible to manage, to the point where I missed the last bus frequently because I has to work late. If I had to take a day off I was told I needed to have every email responded to and every project finished before I left or I would receive corrective action. The atmosphere was so negative and toxic that I suffered from anxiety and panic attacks. It can be tempting to work for a large, prominent employer, and it may look good on a resume, but don't work here.

Pros

You could be the laziest employee on the planet and not get fired.

Cons

You could be the hardest working person on the planet and still not get recognized. I havent had a raise in almost 3 years, but we certainly got a "heros work here sign"... Half of the staff has left to travel or go to AHN. They still refuse to pay us more, but will pay $150 an hour for travelers instead of paying their own employees more money to stay. Which is exactly why I have been job searching. Because I'm done being disrespected and working hard for a company who doesn't care about me.
