Everything! Even with my master’s degree I came in as a loader to start from the bottom. Took and passed the supervisor test and attached resume but still no response. No leadership programs or anything else promoting career growth. Seems as if u have to be 18-21 years old with NO degree to become a part time supervisor. The pay is shameful. Greed! The list goes on. I’d be typing all day so I’ll stop here.

UPS is working on their work-life balance, but it’s a massive corporation so it’s taking time. It also just depends on what group you are in. The worst part about UPS is the “peak ready team.” They did not do one to my knowledge for 2018, but in 2017 I (and many others from the corporate office) was sent to work in a hub for about 5 weeks between thanksgiving and Christmas, and all I got was a mug. This is also not necessarily a “fun” place to work. Most employee events have an awkward vibe, because again, it is so big. That being said it is what you make it!
