Pros

Great benefits with job security. Team work is a necessity and you can make life long friends in a very short time.

Cons

Deployments are too many for too long. In the changing culture everyone is trying to catch up including your chain of command.

Pros

One of the best places to work for if you can deal with the constant physical activity, deployments, and responsibility.

Cons

The US Army is a great place to work, but there hardly is any help getting a job once you separate service. It's like civilian employers avoid former Soldiers, Marines, Airmen, Sailors, and Coastguardsmen. I enjoyed working there, but I'm thinking about going back since jobs after the Armed Forces are harder to get than the percentages you have to win the lottery.
