Pros

THe benefits are great and you recieve 30 days paid vacation a year which can rollover into the next year. Guaranteed paycheck twice a month

Cons

The deployments to combat zones come with the job, time away from family and the potential for promotion can be low if you are in a job that does not require alot of personnel

Pros

Get decent training with the military in general. Equipment is farely new. Opportunity to make lots of friends. Job security is there. Up to you on how fast you get raises.(promotions) Benefits are good to a certain extent.

Cons

You belong to the government. At any time of the day you can be recalled to come back in to work. For as many hours you work, pay is poor. People tend to be out for themselves. Not enough family time.
