Pros

Basically if you have to make a calculated decision out of desperation to propel your life. The Army may be a great way to do it, if you can suck it up for 4 years.

Cons

Loss of identity, independence, freedom, dignity and sanity. It gets old quick and there is always this sword hanging over your head thats threatening to give you a dishonorable discharge if you step out of line.

Pros

Fair promotions, especially for those who want to excell. Great education opportunities. Learn tools necessary for a great career. On the job training you won't get at college. Great benefits (health, dental, etc.) Lots of leave time.

Cons

You have to move alot, unless you know how to work the system. Wearing the same thing every day. Joint military can have difficulty moving to the same base.
