Pros

GI Bill, sign on bonuses, health insurance, dental

Cons

Your drs and dentists are normally active duty service members so the healthcare is not very good, always tons of paperwork, finance occassionally messes up your pay, almost anyone can get any job so many people are under qualified or just don't care, usually work at least 60 hours/wk, promotion goes to people with most time in service instead of the most qualified

It is a lethal business in combat missions, and people are trying to kill you while you are trying to kill them.
