Pros

Get decent training with the military in general. Equipment is farely new. Opportunity to make lots of friends. Job security is there. Up to you on how fast you get raises.(promotions) Benefits are good to a certain extent.

Cons

You belong to the government. At any time of the day you can be recalled to come back in to work. For as many hours you work, pay is poor. People tend to be out for themselves. Not enough family time.

Two of the best reasons to work at the us army are the medical coverage and the opportunity to travel.

Cons

Some of the downsides of working in the US Army are you may have to deploy, being away from you family or short tours without your family and instability due to frequent unit changes.
