      Pros

      If you work the 2020 Census as an enumerator and do well, you may be offered a permanent position but it will be at a much lower pay rate. Field Reps are at the bottom of the Federal pay scale.

      Cons

      No room for advancement, low pay, required/pressured to work nights, weekends, Federal Holidays, the amount of work assigned is dependent on whether your supervisor likes you, not the quality of your work, poor communication throughout the Bureau

      Pros

      Job security, pension eligible (but you do have to wait about 25 years to get a decent amount - wasn't worth it for me!)

      Cons

      Management in most of the regional offices is terrible. I would not recommend this environment for someone young, motivated & bright. Looking back on this job the only thing that learned was how to play office politics.

      Flexible schedules, training opportunities (technical, managerial, and project management), environment, location (especially for residents living outside of the city -- PG county, Alexandria)

      Cons

      Insufficient staff resources, long hours for skilled and conscientious employees where resources are lacking, bureaucracy, retainment of subpar employees, many employees in positions they're unqualified for, undesirable cafeteria,
