Pros

It's a simple (but not easy) job. Once you learn the job, you will always receive a sufficient amount of work.

Cons

The Census Bureau requires you to constantly contact residents/respondents who repeatedly refuse to participate in the Surveys (for two or more months). Secondly, they will require you to close an unreasonable amount of cases within a very short time frame (And this includes those who repeatedly refused). There is an overwhelmingly amount of work involved in addition to interviewing residents. And if you don't interview a certain percentage of residents within a certain time period, that will hinder your performance ratings.
