US Census Bureau reviews

The computer system programs crashing from overloads of info...ya think??????????????? A little better planning would have gone a long way here. I was told they had 5 years to develope it so what happened?

It doesn't take much intelligence or skill to get a job there. Veteran's preference was out of control, with barely passing veterans (on the job entrance exam) edging out those who scored 100%--and it wasn't a difficult test! This means that the Bureau is full of incompetent and mediocre individuals who feel entitled to their job while putting in the minimum of effort. There is also a severe Old Boys' Club mentality, along with communication breakdown both within and among departments. It's a wonder how anything ever got accomplished. I drove home in tears at least once a week--and I'm not an incredibly emotional person.
