      I'm pleased to have been a contributor to the success of the major operations of the 2010 Census.

      Pros

      You are crossed trained in many different departments, which enhances your overall office skills. In the Field Operations department, we were not micro-managed. We were able to use our own individual strengths to get our responsibilities done well, efficient and effective.

      Cons

      The major operations of the 2010 Census didnt last long, as expected. As much as I would have loved to continue to be a team member, the possibility was slim. The major offices are permanent, but there hasnt seemed to be many job oportunities available.

      Pros

      Good pay, good benefits, nice gym family friendly job, pretty much work 8 hours a day

      Cons

      Not willing to pay for things like master's degrees with the exception of the survey methodology program Work is very, very, very boring-a lot of people say this. Work comes in cycles, when there is no work, there is nothing to do and if you ask management for something to do they will give you a cold blank stare. I really do not recommend this job for a young person straight out of college for that reason. Everyone around me facebook surfs all day and you really can't blame them. Cafeteria food options are terrible and expensive. I swear it looks like they just make the most random recipes with ingredients that do NOT go together. Many of the managers are smart book wise but are terrible at management.
