      Rewarding and easy with minimal upside.

      Pros

      good salary. test and interview to receive job not just application. gov't job so comensated well. also it is located close to your home and easily accessible. compensated for gas mileage. they are willing to cut people who aren't very productive as well as terminate unethical employees.

      Cons

      too many elder workers physically unable to perform. need younger people. only comes around every decade. i was the last person on the job at my level and still only worked about 3 months.

      Pros

      The US Census Bureau fosters many great employees. I worked with some great co-workers. The work itself is manageable and really makes an impact in the community.

      Cons

      There were really not too many cons to working for the United States Census Bureau. The only downside was that my particular job was only temporary and not permanent.

      Great opportunity to grow in a decennial environment, great innovation and respected workplace. Detractor, a little instability right now with the political climate. Overall great!
