Pros
Provides a great service to the nation. Pay advances at a good rate. Federal benefits are well worth the time if you can stay long enough.
Cons
Local office seems to be a neglected stepchild of the main office in Maryland. Communiques are shared, but all the wonderful programs -- like professional counseling and training and health/exercise facilties -- are all directed to the staff at Suitland. There are lots of meetings, but but the reasons behind changes in policies are often not explained well.
