      Salary is at a competitive level

      The company is headed in the wrong direction. They have been laying off over 1,000 people yearly for 2 years now. Going through some departments and outsourcing the whole depart to India or Columbia for less pay. They are getting rid of jobs that should be here in the US and giving them to other countries so that stockholders can have a better profit $$$$ All the company cares about right now is making money and not about where this company will be in the long run. It really was a great company until the new CEO stepped in and did his damage. The work environment is horrible and the CEO walks around with bodyguards. I would stay away for job opportunities and I would not do business with USFoods they give our jobs over seas not a US company sadly…

      They taunt "You Matter" as one of their pillars but you don't. At the investor meeting they talked about record profits and automating the warehouses. Now they are doing wave after wave of mass layoffs. This second wave was over 100 + people. You need people for a company to run, not just investors. not a single c-level exec has shown any remorse or care. The cut salaries will probably result in a huge bonus for Dave and the other hire ups that a drilling the company into the ground

      Pay, work life balance and that's it.

      Cons

      They are laying off hundreds of people so they can outsource. They preach YOU MATTER, lies. YOU don't matter. The SHARE Holders matter. They say Expect excellence, but they do not lead by example. They say WIN TOGETHER, but no one wins. They do not care about their employees. You can bust your butt for years, work over time, work holidays, get promoted and they just lay you off and have YOU train your replacements. They also say SPEAK UP if you have an issue but will NOT allow issues to be in writing. All complaints have to be verbal so they can not be used against them.
