Pros

The Food Service industry is a very interesting and exciting business to be an analyst in and US Foods has a very good strategic plan to keep the company ranked at the top.

Cons

Running too lean in some areas and require a lot of hours on salaried roles with minimal perks or compensations other than the annual bonus. A very "rat race" culture that seems to be accepted and expected by management. The work/homelife balance is not a priority in most upper management styles. It is up to the individual to "fight" for that balance.

Pros

salary is ok unless you figure out you are selling out your health and piece of mind for a buck

Cons

warehouse division works against drivers, trying to make the job as hard as possible, routing dept. i am assuming just doesn't care as long as the deliveries are all routed, they also play favorites. management talks a good game but doesn't back it up and can be quite inept
