Great culture in spite of pending merger

Pros

Open, transparent culture has encouraged workers to stay with the company, in spite of the merger. A few have left, but came back when they saw the competition.

Cons

If the merger goes through, Rosemont will close down, and everyone will either be out of a job, or be forced to relocate to Houston.

Pros

Is a job, pays bills.

Cons

Managers are not emotional stable. Managers are acomodating their own people in positions that don't have experience. Procurement managers coming from sales. A lot of stress, work load is horrible with min tools to help. Too many chiefs!

Pros

Leaving. Leaving. Leaving. Leaving and Leaving.

Cons

This place is being aquired by Sysco and Management is doing every slimy thing they can to get rid of those with seniority and higher pay...as expected. They are lying and being slick on write ups and Union has NO clout also as expected cause stewards are afraid of going against management too because they know they could be next. No care given by HR that proper steps arent being taken and that company is breaking major DOT hour laws but picking and choosing who to weed out. Hmmmm...wonder why? SYSCO can you answer that for us? Bye Bye US Foods is right. Hope all you people writing about not knowing how the transition will effect you are either at the bottom of the pay pool or have job opportunities lined up. Im watching the discrimination of older employees and those with many years in and high pay and the discrimination and abusive actions by Management especially in certain places and departments is completely unethical and they will certainly be sued. I guess they dont care though because they are already in the hole and its every man for himself it seems. Sad time to be an employee there now. Run! Run! if you can and like they said before way better places to work that value employee's who work hard, stay late and help others. Cant wait to watch a couple of these guys go down with the sinking ship!
