Pros
Good salary and benefits as a govt contractor.
Cons
Contractors are not brought into the "fold". You are an outsider and are reminded of that on a daily basis. Poor training, expected one to know everything through osmosis. Unless you have been a Federal or State govt worker for most of your life, don't try this if you've had the majority of your career in the private sector and corporate world. I worked for a big bully.
