Pros

Guaranteed pay check whether you work hard or not

Cons

In-fighting still continue from the merge of 2 organizations, favoritism is rampant, job mission changes annually. A lot of knuckle draggers and political hacks.

Pros

Good exposure to for any one new to the Federal Accounting. This position will allow you to understand how the government functions and how theres accounting process flows.

Cons

contractors have a heavy presence in the work flow, the systems and processes are out dated. Also low agency morale. Good employees don't get promoted on merit...it's all about who you know.

Ability to obtain high grades and make great salaries

Cons

Management does not hold employees accountable for the responsibilities and rarely their actions. The tail is leading the dog.
