Pros

Travel, and as much overtime as you want. Was able to almost double my salary and the year isn't even over yet.

Cons

Zero work life balance. Most overtime is forced at the last minute. Meaning you need to cancel any plans you might have.

Great pay, GOV ride, flexible schedule

Cons

Toxic, incompetent management and leadership. You cant make up some of the situations and experiences that occur. No "troop welfare" what so ever, supervisors only care about themselves. If you're part of the "click" you will be taken care of, otherwise you're SOL.
