Pros

Benefits and job opportunities are surprisingly great. Cafeteria, Gym(s), In-House clinic and Pharmacy are some of the amenities.

Cons

As far as in the IT area, it is based on favoritism. Promotions occur based on social networking and appeal.

Pros

By far the best facility I have ever worked at. Especially for people athletically inclined. Benefits and 401k are outstanding, probably one of the best.

Cons

In technical roles employees performance is driven by manger's perception. The downside is that USAA IT is a matrix organization where technically skilled employees are evaluated based off their perception and not their technical skill.

Pros

Campus with amenities. Sports Leagues Above average pay for San Antonio Very innovative ideas in IT, if you get on the right team. Excellent company if you are a customer/member

Cons

Many managers in IT do not have any technical knowledge and therefore talent is not utilized correctly Expected to be on call pretty much 24x7 Increased usage of offshore.
