      Pros

      Benefits are pretty nice with PTO and 11 paid holidays. The 401(k) matching is very nice despite the fact that the company contribution will only give back after 2 years of working.

      Cons

      Being an Insurance Professional means being on the phone for the whole working shift. We don’t have any branch location that customers can come and talk directly. So, everything will do all over the phone or by email or mail. It would not be ideal for those who prefer direct interaction with customers. Also, you will need to ensure your metric which is quite a stressful element.

      Pros

      Very clear mission focused and guiding principle to focus on the member. Regular reminders and focus across all teams who we serve and why our work matters. Great people to work with and organizational values. Very good benefits package and hybrid work environment. The new CEO is refocusing on serving member and the military and ensuring we get things right for them. Company is aware of problem areas and friction points and regularly seeks input and recommendations to make things better.

      Cons

      None yet. There is some office politics and rapid changes at higher levels but managers and directors do a good job of filtering that away from lower levels. The work tempo can be cyclical between weeks going hard and long hours and some where things die down and not many tasks to complete, but this is partly due to the cyclical connection the military move and pay cycles.
