Thank you for your feedback. We certainly agree that the Service Center team is a wonderful entry level position with opportunities that can lead into a long-term career with USG. I would be open to hear more about your pros and cons and our overall experience if you would be willing to share: Christina McDermott, HR Manager - cmcdermott@usgins.com

Pros

Great training and mentor ship. Nice work environment. Management genuinely cares about the employees. The owner has an open door policy and is easy to talk to. There is room to advance if you apply yourself and have the desire to learn more. Great systems that are quite easy to use..nice and streamlined. 401 K Vacation Flexible if time off is needed.

Cons

Family benefits costly. Allows middle management to dictate more than they should. Needs a chain of command in the office suitable for each department. BFS the in house finance company is terrible.

Pros

The company itself is great. I love the systems that are used and the ease of using them. The ability to work from home if needed. Like bad weather days, we are allowed to work from home and not have to miss work if we can't travel on the roads. The close knit Arlington office is more of a family. We all get along good and everyone is always eager to help the next person when it's month end and everyone is rushing to get things done.

Cons

Health Insurance is too expensive for anyone other "employee". Annual reviews are never given on time. Instead of every year, they are every other year or 18 months instead of 12. Pay is not competitive for the area. The base pay for a position is just that regardless of your experience.
