Pros

Cons

too many people drink the kool aid at this place. no personal life. once worked 36 days in a row. if you work in a kiosk you might as well look again for a job.

Pros

Free cell service.(but you can't choose your phone) Good insurance. Pay is ok, but not quite worth all the crap you have to put up with.

Cons

US Cellular is going downhill fast. They don't get competitive phones, their prices are not competitive anymore with the launch of the belief plans. Commissions are cut in more than half following the belief plans as well. You have to do 10 times the work for less than half of the pay you used to get.

Pros

U.S. Cellular does a great job respecting its employees. Work life balance is good for working in retail. You will still have to work nights, weekends, and holidays but management really tries to respect family life and requests off. The benefits are really good. I've worked at much larger companies and only one of them has better benefits. There are opportunities for advancement. However, you should be willing to relocate unless you live in the Chicago area where headquarters is.

Cons

At the RWC level, the starting hourly rate is between $10 and $12 per hour. If you had a good month in sales, commissions can be 1k - 3k. However, commissions can fluccuate greatly so don't depend on them. It's a great entry level position but look to move into management or corporate if you want a stable income.
