      Pros

      Free Cellular Service, Decent Health Insurance and Benefits, Great Co-Workers, Top Notch Training Program for sales, the company is very much into giving back to the community with Calling All Teachers and Calling All Schools programs that donate money to education in the communities they serve. Also provides matching funds to eligible charities.

      Cons

      Constant restructuring going on since the new CEO took over, more responsibilities being pushed to the frontline while the frontline is being pressured to produce more numbers, recent cuts in the commission structure that only pay for new lines of service without compensating renewals and upgrades that take as much time.

      Pros

      Benefits are affordable A strong network ads value to the product knowledgeable and friendly customer service, they tend to solve problems for customers quickly.

      Cons

      The compensation is nothing like it is indicated during hiring process even at expected performance levels. Micromanaged more than any other company I have ever worked for. Absolutley no trust between management and sales. Sales reps are usually pinned against eachother with by pressuring them with job stability and relationships with management. Direct Sales managers have little to no outside sales experience. A manager who may have been successful in a retail enviroment has little probability of success in managing a direct sales team. U.S. Cellular prides itself in the D.O. or Dynamic Organization which is a set of values and behaviors that are to be followed by employees. Upon employement one will find that managers direct, channel, and area will all be the first to break these and find a way to turn them against you.

      Pros

      The pay is good, but not better then other cellular providers, good benifits, room for groth is good as well if you're able to relocate (I am not)

      Cons

      Hard to get into the high traffic locations, there also seems to be a one way street of continual requests/demands/favors coming from our leaders, but I can't even get my earned vacation time approved two+ months in advance.
