I appreciate the benefits and the hybrid schedule. I would say the pay, but my responsibilities keep growing, causing my hourly pay to decrease over the last two years significantly. How am I rewarded for taking on extra duties? A 2% merit increase.

Cons

Demeaning faculty supervisors; overworked & undervalued staff; lack of department-specific written procedures and training; too much gatekeeping; and a clear lack of communication and any written procedures.

The university definitely tries, but PI’s need to do better

Great benefits if you’re full time. You are encouraged to learn a lot. You can literally speak to any professional and they will help you. The university itself is very inclusive and positive. They are always willing to help in any way possible. Absolutely love that.

Parking is the WORST! TMC is literally monopolizing on public health workers -Terrible pay -Toxic pi’s that exploit
