I like my job and like the people I work with.

Cons

Wages are not good. After ten years I've finally hit $13.00 an hour. Middle managment has no clue what's going on in their departments and they never listen to their employees as to better ways to get the job done. The employees are the frontline workers and we do the job but managment thinks they know more about our job than we do. There's no schedule, planning or organizing in my department. How do you expect to serve over 6000 people with no form of organizing?

Pros

They treat you well. Pay is good (I imagine in some areas they are very competitive, in others not so much). The ethic and missions are terrific There are some great leaders and staff.

Cons

Very limited opportunities for career advancement. This is a physician dominated and controlled organization, so non-physicians are not as highly valued. While this is to be expected, too often physicians are placed in senior administrative positions and have limited skill sets outside of their medical training.

Offering decent health care benefits, paid time off/sick leave, and strong communication links, this company is a great work environment for health care driven individuals.

Cons

In terms of some of the positions available, there is no room for upward growth or movement and new employees do not get to reap benefits of PTO until after six months of being hired.
