Thank you for your 5 stars (whoaaa, I feel like of like an Uber driver saying that, but it is true all the same). As a current team member, please don't hesitate to spread the word about the ferry service that is starting up on Monday (no longer just an ideal commute for those N/R line folks). The ferry is about to cut down my commute by 30 minutes and drop off right at our pier (https://www.ferry.nyc/routes-and-schedules/). Have a great weekend, Sean

Pros

A great experience. The hiring process was easy. The work was great and the atmosphere was welcoming.

Cons

I applied to work work there again for the 2016 holiday season. I was accepted to come back and filled out all the paperwork. I was told I would be given a call when to come in for orientation but never received a call. I called HR several times over 2 wks and never received a call back.

Thank you for your feedback. While I'm glad to hear that our simple hiring process, welcoming team, and the duties of your role helped to provide you with an overall great experience, I'd like to apologize on behalf of the HR team for not getting back to you within a two week span. We get a lot of calls and I hate to hear that we had not managed to return your call within a reasonable time-frame. I'm not one for excuses and understand the frustration of waiting to be called back (particularly with something as important as a new position at an organization that you feel you'd be a great match for). Hurdles aside, I'm glad to hear that we eventually were able to connect and that you joined our team. To move forward, we have taken steps to improve in this area (spoiler alert: it involves a new phone system) and make it a point of pride to reach out to all applicants to let them know if they are not moving forward with our hiring process. If you'd like to share more feedback, I'm all ears at 718-210-1200 x2532 or by email at scullen @ uncommongoods.com. Best, Sean
