Pros

You are able to be your own boss essentially. From marketing, to when/how shipment is processed to floor organization. Option to run the sales floor when managers are busy, giving you at least 2 hours of downtime out of your department Rarely on the cash register, and if you are it's because the line is ridiculously long

Cons

More mismates than you can imagine Part time status but working full time hours No benefits Managers treat you as if you're a fulltime manager when you're not even ranked high enough to get keys, nor bear their responsibilities. Poor annual raises The company promotes from within, but not from within the store you're working (at least not to a managerial level)
