Pros

Great amount of benefits from life insurance, 401K match, profit sharing, vacation, sick, health etc.... A corporation with a strong family culture. You are always looked after and the amount of training given to be successful it's all here. Learn, thrive, lead and mentor.

Cons

It's not easy to be successful. Time and dedications is a must. All great books will give you the answer to "Success". It's hard to bring in new young talent and have them believe that there is a future here. Sales are tough and very competitive for somebody that wants to make a lot of money yesterday.

Thank you for your review. We agree with you. UniFirst truly is a family. We are really glad that you’ve been able to experience the Family Culture we are so proud of. We also agree that time and dedication are a must especially at the start of a new career and we believe that those who want to work hard and get paid well for it tend to make a great fit in Sales.

Pros

There is pretty good pay and commission if you can make the sale. There are Good benefits and resources available.

Cons

It's hard to sell uniforms to the general public. The whole industry is similar and its very difficult to convince customers that you're different without using unethical techniques or just flat out lying, which management encourages. You have to put in a lot of unpaid time outside of work to get any sales.

Thank you for your feedback. One of the many perks of a Sales Career is the direct correlation between your efforts/hardwork and your paycheck. Our industry has been around for quite some time and it is very competitive. This is one of the reasons we find it helpful to have two pipelines, one for Programmers (Prospects currently under contract with another provider) and one for No-Programmers (Prospects without a Uniform or Facility Services provider). No-Programmers really help boost your Sales, while you are waiting out some of those contracts. We teach a highly ethical, consultative Sales Process that works when followed. We highly encourage you to always support and help, and bring real value to your Prospects and to NEVER lie to any of them.

Pros

Money is good and it's great experience. Between the base salary, the car and cell phone allowance it pays well. Working closely with other sales reps makes it more enjoyable as well.

Cons

Can be a tough industry to stay in for a long period of time. Facility service items arent the most glamorous nor high on a customers priority list.
