Pros

In my 9 years with UniFirst i have had some of the best Mentors and Support that any person can ask for. I started in sales in a small town and have worked my way to where i am. UniFirst will always promote from within as a first option which means they want you to succeed. Lots of rewards and President's Club is always the Target.

Cons

Not a downside persay but it's a high pressure job and that is why the rewards are high to successful people. Bring your 'A' game or you may not make it.

Pros

You never really end up working late. The in-house chef makes some great food.

Cons

Professional Development is strongly discouraged. Non sales employees are treated like cattle. Stuck in the 1950's corporate culture. Pay is low. Health Insurance is terrible. No one really takes it and it doesn't cover much. In IT you spend a lot of time working on something only to have all that work thrown out the window repeatedly. Management will often overlook employee recommendations on technology in favor of a more expensive IBM solution that meets only a quarter of the requirements. Middle and upper management is run like a frat house.

Pros

Great pay, thats how they get you on board.. My actual branch does not have an in house sales manager, however support team of the other two reps. with a tenure of 4 months help me through. My training was amazing, one of the best. The ability to manage myself and to set my own schedule..

Cons

Lack of support from sales maanager. Unhelpful info that started me out. Wasted 6 weeks of training because I couldn't catch a break. The freaking Black Berry takes up 5 hours of your day, to much micro management and not enough get off your a** and walk in my shoes for 1 day..
