Pros

Great training program, especially if you are new to B2B Sales. Guaranteed travel reimbursement due to long distance traveled.

Cons

Slow on commissions, very United States focused which is not the selling style from this area. Don't understand small markets are longer sales especially when it comes to contract based sales.

Pros

Great commission earning potential and opportunity to get promoted from within. Presidents Clubs trips are unreal and top performers are rewarded.

Cons

You have to be willing to work hard to reap the rewards this company can offer and be patient with a longer sales cycle

Thank you for your review! You are right that working hard definitely pays off at UniFirst (and the PClub trips are pretty unreal)!

Pros

I've been with UniFirst for over 30 years. I've found that although we need to be responsible for growth and profitability to satisfy our stakeholders the company still relies on us to make local decisions based on family values and what's best for customer retention. UniFirst has a "promote from within" philosophy for those who can demonstrate leadership and proficiency. I have personal experience with team partners who were initially hired by myself having been promoted to Supervisors, Line Managers, General Managers and even a Canadian Sales Manager! My position has allowed the opportunity to participate in Corporate Committees and provide feedback for the success of our Company. I've had been able to travel to some great destinations that I probably would not have considered if not for UniFirst. The Health & Benefit plans along with a great retirement program are very valuable assets.

Cons

UniFirst has not been able to keep up with the trend for better work/life balance when it comes to vacation allocation in Canada as we max out at 4 weeks @ 15 years of service, even after 30 years!

Thank you for your many years of service. We are happy to hear that you take the time to provide feedback and help this organization succeed. You are right. We promote from within whenever possible and love to hear that you’ve seen this first hand. One downfall of our industry is the need to keep our service vehicles on the road and consistently delivering to our customers, which equates to less holiday and vacation time than other industries.
