Too many to list but some examples are...
1. Uneducated and inexperienced management
2. Complete lack of business acumen from management level
3. Although others have listed base salaries are "top notch", they are not. The base salaries are a joke and do not take education or experience level into consideration.
4. During my tenure, I received positive reinforcement less than 5% of the time. Constant negativity from the Group V.P., GM on down the line.
5. The management team I worked for, had no clue how to staff a sales team. My location had over 400% turnover in the sales team.
6. The route salesmen worked very hard. I feel for them as the poor service is, normally, not thier fault. The production facility does a very poor job of cleaning and supplying the items needed for the RSR's to do thier job effectively.
7. Management doesn't believe or care that the negative reputation the company has in the market has a very adverse impact on the possibility of selling new business.
8. Way too many sales reps for not enough territory. The location I represented had 3 sales reps while all major competitors had 1 for uniform and, maybe, one for FS. Amazingly, management thought they needed to add another rep. Proof of total lack of business acumen.
9. Overall compensation well below market average.
10. This is just a sampling as it would take a novel to fully explain the unpleasant experience of working as a sales rep for this company.
