Pros
mediocre health benefits, shopping perks if you're into that (after 9 months), interacting with great seniors (although some can be difficult), your chef peers really do have the best of intentions, there is a very high bar, pay is standard for an exec chef
Cons
no consistency between locations of the same brand, passive-aggresive at best, mostly hostile clients, staffing is always an issue, upper management only cares about you if you're willing to break your back for them and sacrifice the important things in life which results in minimal work/life balance, the processes you would expect a large corporation to have in place aren't, communication from the offices, even on important matters is severely lacking so it takes information and tools/approvals needed way too long to get anything accomplished timely, there are way way way too many platforms used for core tasks. Don't expect anything to be streamlined, when you have a bad employee and have followed the handbook on documentation, HR still makes you jump through hoops before you can make the best calls for your team.
