Pros

Interesting projects from varied federal government customers. Some incredible talent and thought leadership at the front line and immediate management.

Cons

Attempts to redefine / remake the company over the years have been less than successful. Company still trying to figure out if its an IT company or consulting wannabe.

Pros

Stable work. Decent pay. They used to be good and i used to be able to say a lot of good things and now i cant sadly.

Cons

Reduced pay from 13 an hour to 11. Used to pay for A+ and network + training. Now they don't. Used to help pay more for college now they pay less and its much more of a hassle to get it. Literally got one day of actual training on the account i was on. The other four days i was just told to shadow. You can just tell they are desperate for anyone to hire anyone that knows how to turn on a computer because anyone with any talent got promoted or quit.

Pros

Unisys has a flexible atmosphere, not high stress, good work-life balance and many employees working remotely. Remote access and conference calling are common. There is a strong management embrace of information sharing through internal social media technology, though it is not widely used by employees.

Cons

Unisys, or at least the Federal Systems division, seems to be going nowhere. HQ is staffed by an older workforce, many of whom seem to be here simply because this is where they are. Morale-building efforts to counteract austerity measures of the last few years are very weak, there is little in the way of loyalty or a sense of a Unisys identity. Recognitions beyond a boss's "attaboy" are rare, salaries are stagnant. Middle management priorities seem to bounce from one crisis to the next, rarely in line with the larger company direction.
