Great Company to work for

Pros

Good benefits, company vehicle, and decent pay. I personally prefer a salary position. and job security is a plus. Many people have been with the company 10+ years.

Cons

Long hours each day. takes a while to move through the ranks, because people rarely leave the company (which i guess is a good thing). Holidays are spent in the trade, not a whole lot of family time. takes 10 years to get 3 weeks of vacation time.

Pros

Very Independent work. Minimal time spent in the office or under supervision. Colleagues and office staff are very friendly and helpful.

Cons

Little to no opportunity for advancement within the company. Poor training programs for new hires. Pay structure does not motivate to "sell more", as employees are not paid on commission. This payment structure allows for both a fluctuating monthly income, as well as smaller "bonus" pay, even when more product is sold. Bonuses are earned monthly, however bonus income is not actually a "bonus", but a part of your salary. i.e, it is not possible to live solely off the bi-weekly pay. Little to no gas or car allowance paid, and if it is awarded, it is also counted as a part of your overall salary. Must use personal car for work. There is a distinct difference between those who are "insiders" and "outsiders".
