Pros
Pay is not bad. PTO is very generous. If you're lucky, there can be opportunities to get on some really cool projects.
Cons
THE WORK: If you are one of the unlucky ones (by virtue of being employed at Lewin, you are unlucky), then you will be assigned to a project that has absolutely nothing to do with your skillset, absolutely nothing do with your interests, will feel remedial at times, and do absolutely nothing to move your career forward. SENIOR STAFF: Where to begin? The senior staff do not care about you. The senior staff do not know how to manage. They are in the office once every 2 weeks. They do not know what you are working on or how much effort you are putting into something. They will give you incredibly inconsistent and unclear directions. THE CULTURE: None. MOVING UP OR OUT: a.) Promotions are not based on merit. Good luck. b.) If you are performing poorly, you will not be fired. Rather, you will either be assigned NO work or menial tasks to pass the time until you can't take it anymore and leave out of frustration. It's better than getting fired, but you can't take a company seriously if they're not willing to address issues like this when presented. WHAT YOU GET OUT OF IT: Best case scenario: [INSERT LENGTH OF TIME] years of experience on resume. No new or transferrable skills to any other job. Worse case scenario: Clinical depression FINAL THOUGHTS: Maybe you have a weird masochist personality and want to work here after reading this, but I would highly advise against it.
