      Leading Healthcare Insurance Company struggles with training and quality

      Pros

      It is a huge company with many jobs; the compensation and benefits are competitive within the insurance industry.

      Cons

      The company struggles with communication and respect for employees at the very regional levels. I witnessed employees humiliated during team meetings. I experienced harassment by my supervisor.

      Pros

      Size of the organization gives you access to the top employers in the health care insurance market. There are many innovative individuals working within the organization and there are many opportunities to learn. Creative health care solutions are prized and the organization is working even harder to be in touch with their consumers.

      Cons

      disorganized, lots of power struggles, senior leadership has lost touch with employees, too hierarchical. The organization has many sister companies and they do not work well together. There are many instances where it would be easier to work with an outside vendor than work with an internal constituency.

      Pros

      The approach taken towards customers makes you feel good about what you do everyday.We work with not just employers but we have many product that include Medicaid members. Helping out a family in need makes my job very rewarding.

      Cons

      Health Insurance benefits for employees are not so great. Fpr a large insurance company you would think we get great healthcare but in fact it's quite the opposite. The 401K is decent but not great. It's pre-selected and it's automatically deducted. If you don't know how to access certain sites you will remain contributing to their stock which is pretty low at this time.
