Pros

Coworkers are good for the majority, scheduling is consistent.

Cons

Making less than mc Donald’s to do 3 different jobs, 2 of which weren’t expected of any trinity facility except Muscatine. ER and ICU/MedSurg, outpatient rotation for 15 an hour. Make the same as kitchen staff to watch people die in the ER, once again doing 2 jobs of EKG tech and Phlebotomist. Work culture is not good when it comes to asking others for help when work load becomes too much. Insane time crunches on second shift to get paper work and specimens done on time while drawing blood and doing EKGs at the same time, chronically understaffed. Realized I had responded to a pediatric trauma that didn’t make it for less than I currently make in retail and left.

Pros

Staff/coworkers are great The work is engaging when staffed appropriately

Cons

Overworked Pay does not fit the workload Management care more about filling holes in the schedule than mental health or work-life balance. Management shuts down any ideas to improve conditions that might cost money
