Pros

Friends Hospital campus has free parking and is conveniently located near highways. The campus is also accessible by public transportation.

Cons

The staff are being overworked and under paid. Middle management pay favorites and are dishonest. Hard work and dedication is unappreciated at all levels.

Pros

You will gain experinece working with those with mental health issues.

Cons

Favortisim, favortisim, favortisim...and did I say favortisim from Unit supervisors, shift leaders, staffing and management and CEO. Rules change to suit situations, orientation is too short so you are constatnly working with untrained co -workers. There is a high turnover rate due to improperly trained staff, favortisim, being physically abused by residents, injuries, or fired for any and everything Restaining unruling kids/patients. Ratios have to be maintatined so breaks are impossible, video recorded while you work and it can and will be used against you if the need arises. You can be floated to another unit against your will, basically you work where there is a need. Most staff is unprofessional they are dating, sleeping together, related, friends, family, frat or soror connected which establish unfair alliances, thus favor. Must do a lot of documentation and conduct groups but the conditions to do it under make it difficult i.e no prep time, kids unruly or refuse partcipation, you must do documentation on half broken lap tops in the miliue with kids who smash or steal the computers, at this time you will get in trouble for not having a visual on residnets. Different units have cliques. No information is confidential. You will see wrong doing and you have to support it No protection for whistle blowers.
